This heifer made the mistake of laying down on the cold ground and left all the skin frozen on the ground. The cow picture above was treated in Bellechester, Minnesota and she belongs to Steve Luhmann, dairy producer. Steve asked if we had a product that could save the teat ends of this heifer and we recommended Steuart's Teat Healant. The product was applied twice a day after milking and the teats remained conditioned and pliable. Within five days of applying Steuart's Teat Healant, a new layer of skin was beginning to appear. Steve never stopped milking the heifer, she was milked twice a day everyday and Steuart's Teat Healant was applied after every milking. Several pictures were taken of this heifer on the way towards recovery. She only had one outbreak of mastitis on day 60. Since then, the heifer has completely recovered and there are have been no reoccurrences of mastitis.
